So I got Mockingjay yesterday (finally) and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday absorbed in the book. I am one of those readers who, when I find a great book, cannot put it down until I'm finished. And it's not as though I have nothing else going on in my life, I just can't pull myself away--I swear I'm not a loser ;0)
At any rate, I'm still absorbing everything that happened in the book. I swear I'm coming off my reading high and man is it painful. I hate seeing the end to any series, and haven't made up my mind how much closure I feel from Mockingjay. Although that could be because I practically swallowed it whole without chewing, hmmm. What I really want to do right now is chat with one of my friends to see what they thought(I need my support group)! I can't help thinking I should go back and re-read the book, once I've recovered some of the emotions it sucked from me :0)
I have to say Monday's are the worst for trying to stay focused while at work, even after the multiple cups of wonderfully strong caffeine. Anywho... I hope you are all enjoying your day as much as me!
HAPPY MONDAY!!

Is that wedding bells I hear?
Hmm, so I got married last month, almost exactly a month ago (crazy, I know). I could not be any happier. We are finally done planning the wedding and able to get some things done to our house (yay!) and spend all our spare time enjoying the end of summer (tear, it barely got here and is almost over...).
BUT I have also been able to work on my book a lot more now, which I'm super excited about. There for awhile I couldn't help but feel guilty that I wasn't devoting any time to working on it, but that's a whole new story now. So I hope to have it done in the next few months, which should be a reachable goal, woo hoo! On that note, one thing that really gets me motivated to work on my own book, is reading other people's, I just recently read The Hunger Games, which is a YA book a friend of mine let me borrow. This book was amazing. I finished reading it and hurried out to buy the second book (Catching Fire) another amazing book, and I read through that in a day (I know I'm a freak of nature for reading it so quickly, but I could not help myself). I'm contemplating going back through for a second read, since I obviously shot through it, I'm sure I missed a few things and the third book doesn't come out till the 24th of this month. But basically what I'm getting at here, is that reading a book as wonderfully intriguing as this one makes me wanna finish my own. Some might say it gives me a much needed kick in the butt, I agree!
The other thing I've decided to do is try and see new places in Oregon, lets be honest it's super easy to just go to the same lake or beach or mountain when you want a trip away from home, but there are so many places in Oregon that I haven't seen... EVER. Why not venture outside the norm for a change. I have to say it really does make you appreciate your surroundings that much more, especially when you drive three and a half hours to get there :)
I think that's enough rambling for me for now, but I hope to get on here more often!
